Visiting a foodbank

The Malmesbury Distribution Centre is located in The Old School Room in The Town Hall (entrance off Market Lane). Our opening days and times are TUESDAY mornings (10:00- 11:30); TUESDAY evenings (18:30-19:30) and THURSDAY afternoons (13:00 - 14:30).

The Cricklade Foodbank Distribution Centre, at The Jenner Hall, is open for the collection of food parcels on Friday mornings (10:00 - 11:30).

CITIZENS ADVICE WILTSHIRE - At every day-time session a Citizens Advice counsellor is available for clients of the foodbank.

REFRESHMENTS will be available at all sessions, and clients will be able to talk to volunteers who may be able to signpost to other organizations who may be able to assist

You still need to contact your referrer who will then issue an electronic voucher (e-voucher).

“The volunteers at the foodbank were so lovely, they listened to me and made me feel human again. It was the first place I didn’t feel judged.”

We know that crisis can strike anyone and we also understand how difficult it can be to think about walking through a foodbank door. That’s why our foodbank volunteers aim to welcome everyone who comes to the foodbank with compassion, kindness and a listening ear.

Meeting your needs

We want to make sure that we give you the right food to meet your needs, so please do let your referrer know if you have any special dietary requirements or allergies, for example, gluten free, halal or vegetarian. This information will then be included on your ‘e-voucher’. Your foodbank voucher will be exchanged for three days of emergency food.

Practical guidance and support

Foodbank volunteers are able to take the time to listen and support you. So, please, do talk to then about your needs. They are specially trained to know about local services and offer practical guidance so that you have access to the right support, helping you to break out of crisis.
